Juneteenth hits the 12th District
12th District Republican Party Supports Juneteenth Celebration of Freedom Hosted by the Frederick Douglass Foundation of North Carolina
Charlotte, NC — June 23, 2025 — The 12th District Republican Party was proud to join the 14th District, 8th District and the Durham County GOP at the Juneteenth Celebration of Freedom, hosted by the Frederick Douglass Foundation of North Carolina, on Saturday, June 21, 2025, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
This community-wide celebration honored Juneteenth—the historic commemoration of the emancipation of enslaved African Americans—and highlights the enduring legacy of freedom, faith, and civic empowerment. The 12th District Republican Party was honored to support this event as a reflection of our ongoing commitment to minority engagement, focusing on unity, liberty, and opportunity for all Americans.

To further our efforts at minority engagement, Chairman Ali participated in a community cookout at Cambridge Park Apartments , providing lunch to over 100 families in District 12 while hearing their concerns and educating them on how the GOP is working to improve their lives.
